Green population pressure the Netherlands 1950-2018 This statistic shows the green population pressure in the Netherlands from 1950 to 2018. It shows that between 1950 and 1965 the green population pressure increased from 67.9 percent in 1950 to 72.2 percent in 1965. This corresponds with the baby boom period that came after the Second World War. After 1965, the birth rate decreased and the green population pressure decreased steadily until 1995. After 1995, the green population pressure stabilized at around 37 to 39 percent. In 2018, the green population pressure was 37.6 percent.
