Occupancy rate in Manhattan 2013-2020, by quarter
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has brought tremendous impact on the lodging industry across the globe. In Manhattan, this was seen in the significant decline in occupancy rates of hotels as lodging premises were forced to close to control the spread of the virus. By the end of 2020, the occupancy rate of hotels in Manhattan was 30.1 percent, compared to 89.9 percent on the same quarter the year before.
