Japan: general account LAT grants spending 2022

In the fiscal year 2022, the initial budget for local allocation tax (LAT) grants expenditure of the general account budget in Japan amounted to approximately 15.9 trillion Japanese yen, slightly down from the initial budget of the previous fiscal year. In general, the revised final budget number of each fiscal year trends higher than its initially announced number. In fiscal 2021, this effect caused a the revised final budget to increase to approximately 19.6 trillion yen, the highest amount of the past decade.
