Foreign visitors' per capita shopping expenditure in Japan 2020, by region
In 2020, Chinese travelers contributed by far the highest amount to the per capita expenditure on shopping activities by foreign visitors in Japan, with around 100 thousand Japanese yen. Vietnam ranked in second place, with shopping expenditures of about 60 thousand yen per person.
