Number of completed newly constructed housing in Sweden 2009-2020, by type
Most of the new residential properties constructed in Sweden in 2020 were multi-dwelling buildings. The number of new completed residential properties in newly constructed multi-dwelling buildings increased steadily during the past decade. The number of completed multi-dwelling properties reached 38,906 in 2020. During last years, the number of new completed residential properties in one-or two-dwelling buildings remained rather stable, with a peak in 2017, when 12,444 new buildings were completed.
