This statistic shows the number of dwellings in Iceland in 2017, by type and region. That year, the majority of dwellings were in the Capital region. The number in buildings with 13 or more apartments in Reykjavik and around was roughly 23 thousand. The number of detached houses amounted to 22 thousand, while there were 7.5 thousand homes in semi-detached houses.
