This statistic shows the number of fires in Finland from 2011 to 2015, by the operation of a fire alarm. In 2013, a working fire alarm was present in 1,046 of reported fires. In 949 cases there was no fire alarm installed.

According to law since September 1, 2000, fire alarms have been obligatory on each floor of an apartment or one alarm per 60 square metres in Finland. A fire alarm that is directly connected to the electric network has been obligatory in new apartments and houses since February 1, 2009.
