This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted from April 2016 to January 2017 among 7,845 adult Americans on their preferred cable or satellite TV subscription brand. The results were sorted by age group. During the survey, 23.4 percent of respondents between 18 and 34 years of age stated their preferred cable or satellite TV subscription brand is DirecTV; 19.6 percent of respondents aged 35 to 49 and 17.3 percent of respondents aged 50 or older said the same.
