In 2019 large businesses that employed 500 or more people had a combined turnover of over 1.7 trillion British pounds, the most of any business size displayed here. The combined turnover for small and medium sized enterprises, that employed between zero and 249 people was over 2.6 trillion British pounds, with enterprises that employed 20 to 49 people having the highest turnover among SMEs.
