Italy: opinion on possession of weapons for personal defense in 2017, by area
This statistic illustrates the opinions related to possession of weapons for personal defense purposes in Italy as of October 2017, by geographical area. According to the survey, 56.1 percent of the inhabitants of the central regions of Italy believed that it is right to keep a weapon at home for personal defense. Roughly 50 percent of the interviewees from the Northwest of the country replied that in their opinion people should not be in possession of a weapon for self-defense.
