The source adds the following information: "So-called high-energy geothermal energy can be used to produce electricity, in addition to exploiting heat by simple exchange or cogeneration. The economically viable production of electricity is possible from a geothermal fluid (water loaded with minerals, water vapor, ...) which reaches the surface at a minimum temperature of about 120 ° C. Some experimental prototypes can produce electricity as early as 80 ° C, but at these temperatures, the complete efficiency of the installation is too low to allow the deployment of this technology at economically viable costs.
