This statistic shows a distribution of leisure day visits (lasting three hours of more) made by residents in Great Britain in 2019, by items purchased. During 37 percent of trips, visitors spent money on eating and drinking out in cafes, restaurants and/or bars. On an additional 13 percent of visits people bought food in a shop or takeaway to consume during the trip.
