Municipal waste sorting in Italy 2021, by type of waste
The largest part of the municipal waste sorted in Italy was biowaste (almost 40 percent of the total amount). The quantity of paper and cardboard gathered represented 19 percent of the total sorted waste amount, while glass accounted for 12 percent.
