The youth unemployment rate in Mali declined to 4.11 percent in 2023. Nevertheless, the last two years recorded a significant higher youth unemployment rate than the preceding years. The youth unemployment rate refers to the share of the workforce aged 15 to 24 that is currently not working but is actively searching for work. It does not include the economically inactive population, such as the long-term unemployed or full-time students.
