American teachers on the safety at schools if they carried guns 2018 This statistic shows the results of a survey among American teachers in grades K to 12 about whether they consider schools safer if certain teachers or staff members were carrying guns. The survey was conducted in March 2018, in the aftermath of the school shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida. During the survey, 58 percent of polled teachers stated they think schools would be less safe if teachers or staff members were to carry guns.
