Peru: main reasons for Venezuelans to emigrate 2018
This statistic shows the leading reasons for Venezuelans to emigrate to Peru as of January 2018. According to the survey of Venezuelan immigrants arriving to both border control areas and the Metropolitan area of Lima and Callao, nearly 58 percent of respondents claimed to have moved to Peru for economic reasons, almost 11 percent mentioned taking the decision to emigrate due to the lack of work in their country, and 9.8 percent said their main motivation to leave to Peru was the food and medical supplies crisis in Venezuela.
