Cyber insurers reimbursed companies for the clean-up costs after ransomware incidents more often in 2021 than they did in 2019. However, they paid the ransom less often. In 2021, the insurance company paid out according to 98 percent of the IT professionals surveyed across 31 countries, up from 95 percent two years earlier.
