In the year to December 2022, the highest number of seats available on a domestic air travel route in Australia was from Melbourne to Sydney; over the course of the year, nine million seats were available. On routes from Brisbane to Sydney and Brisbane to Melbourne, 4.52 million and 3.42 million seats were available respectively.
