Deaths caused by musculoskeletal disorders in Spain 2005-2021
In 2021, the annual number of deaths resulting from disorders of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissues amounted to around 5.1 thousand in Spain, down from about 5.2 thousand deaths registered a year earlier. The number of casualties caused by musculoskeletal disorders, including conditions such as arthrosis and osteoporosis, increased by about 42 percent in the European country compared to 2005, when the death toll reached approximately 3.5 thousand cases.
