Crude steel production share in Latin America by country 2022
Brazil is the leading crude steel producer in Latin America, accounting for approximately 55 percent of the region's output in 2022. Mexico ranked second, representing 29 percent of steel production. That year, the production of crude steel in Latin America was estimated at around 62.8 million metric tons.
