Dominican Republic: air passenger arrivals 2010-2020, by type
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international air passenger arrivals in the Dominican Republic decreased strongly in 2020. Between January and October of that year, the Caribbean country had only registered over 2.1 million arrivals of this kind, which represents only 29.5 percent of the total recorded a year earlier. The majority of those passenger arrivals correspond to non-resident travelers visiting the Caribbean country.
