Apple devices also prove extremely popular among tablet owners in the UK, with the iPad taking up half of the market. In order to maintain their market shares, PC vendors will need to ride out the troubling economic period. Manufacturers are likely to focus on software and service provisions while the market recovers, before introducing hardware innovations at a time when purchasing intent returns to a normal level.
