This statistic shows the new light vehicle registrations in the U.S. per quarter from 2018 to 2019. The first quarter of 2019 showed a bad start for auto dealers and manufacturers, as economic restraints prevented many Americans from buying new light vehicles. However, new light vehicle registrations rebounded in the second quarter of 2019 with more than 4.4 million units. The second quarter of 2018 was the most active for light vehicle registrations during this time span, when almost 4.5 million units where registered.
