Italy: net result of paper packaging firms 2021

The net result of enterprises active in the paper and cardboard packaging sector in Italy peaked at over 90 million euros in 2020. This figure decreased to 74 million euros in 2021. By comparison, the operating result of this sector in Italy amounted to 87 million euros that year.

Companies with significant (statutory) turnover, a degree of specialization in the sector greater than or equal to 50 percent of the total turnover, and active in all the financial years considered have been taken into account for the calculation. The calculation also takes into account the balance of power between companies. For example, companies with a too high turnover were discarded, so that their balance sheet structure does not excessively influence the average sector.
