Number of Chinese children affected by migration 2000-2015, by area

In 2015, the number of urban children left behind in China amounted to 28.26 million, a sevenfold increase in 15 years. While the amount of Chinese population under age 15 remained constant at around 220 million, nearly half of them were affected by migration.
