More than 70 percent of the surveyed companies in Japan stated that they were conscious of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investments when they engaged in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities as of December 2018.
The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) in Japan drew special attention to ESG investments when they started the ESG investments in 2017.
