"Trunk lines" in air transportation refer to the main routes connecting the trunk airports with one another, which include the New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, the Haneda Airport and Narita International Airport in Tokyo, the Itami Airport and Kansai International Airport in Osaka, the Fukuoka Airport in Fukuoka, and the Naha Airport in Okinawa.
