Women employed in health care and social assistance industry New Zealand 2015-2019
In 2019, the health care and social assistance industry in New Zealand had just over 235 thousand female employees. This was a dramatic increase from 2016, in which there were approximately 205 thousand women employed in the health and social assistance industry in New Zealand. Interestingly, the majority of workers in the health and social assistance industry in New Zealand are female, however, male workers in this industry appear to earn more money per hour than the female employees on average.
