Tourism participation by age group in Romania in 2022

In 2022, the highest shares of population travelling domestically for personal purpose were recorded among young travelers, with double-digit figures in all age groups between 15 and 44 years. The share of outbound travel was significantly lower with the highest being 2.42 percent for people between 25 and 34 years.

However, in a few cases the data are compiled from border surveys. Surveys are generally conducted on a monthly or quarterly basis."
