Rash driving cases across Kolkata in India 2021, by vehicle type
The number of rash driving cases registered across the city of Kolkata located in eastern part of India stood at around 51 thousand in 2021. Most of these came from two-wheelers at around 27 thousand. Traffic management has emerged as a challenging aspect across metropolitan cities in India. Huge traffic volumes in limited road space combined with pedestrian congestion and sub-standard infrastructure have made managing traffic a daunting task.
