Opinion on whether NATO's purpose is to protect US interests in South Korea 2019
According to a survey conducted in 2019 by Ipsos on public perceptions of NATO, around 40 percent of South Korean respondents stated that they thought the purpose of NATO was to protect the interests of the United States. At the same time, a slightly lower percentage of also around 40 percent of respondents disagreed.
