Leading candidates in the UK Labour party leadership contest 2019

Keir Starmer emerged as the frontrunner to replace Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the United Kingdom's Labour party in early 2020, according to a survey of Labour party members. Following the UK general election in December 2019, in which the Labour party recorded it's worst result since the 1930s, Jeremy Corbyn will resign, and his replacement will be selected by Labour party members.
