Belgium: women contraceptive use, by region 2018

In Belgium, 84,7 percent of sexually active women living in Flanders used a contraceptive method in 2018. According to this study, the use of a contraceptive method was the lowest in the Brussels-Capital Region. In this part of Belgium, 76 percent of sexually active women, aged 15 to 49 years old, used contraception. Furthermore, this figure was lower than the national average of Belgium in 2018.
