Volume of domestic and foreign cargo handled in the port of Oslo 2018-2020
The volume of foreign cargo handled at the port of Oslo exceeded the volume of domestic cargo handled during the past two years. In the second quarter of 2020, the volume of foreign cargo handled in the Norwegian port amounted to over 702,000 metric tons, while goods from domestic ports was about 623,000 metric tons.
The port of Oslo, Oslo Havn KF, was founded in 1735 and in 2004, it became an enterprise of the muncipality of Oslo. As of 2019, the port was working towards becoming one of the first zero-emissions port.
