Company cloud adoption rate in France 2019

The adoption rate of cloud computing solutions has evolved quite a lot in France between 2017 and 2019. A growth of 19 percent can be observed for hosted private cloud from 2017 to 2019. For on premise private cloud adoption, French companies have adhered to 64 percent in 2019 as compared to 47 percent in 2017. The adoption rate for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions has increased by 24, 25 and 22 percent (respectively) from 2017 to 2019.

**** PaaS (Platform as a service): Outsourcing of hardware infrastructure, applications and data. It includes the services of the IaaS but also provides the operating system, database, web server, etc.
***** SaaS (Software as a service): In the “all inclusive” formula, the supplier takes care of the installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the interface.
