According to a survey conducted in November 2021 among locals of the 47 prefectures in Japan, 19 percent of residents in Tochigi and Saitama Prefecture stated that they wanted to spend money on housing. The survey revealed that in the majority of prefectures, only a small share of respondents was willing to invest their financial resources into their dwellings, with only four percent of locals residing in Kagawa Prefecture willing to spend money on housing.
