In 2018, the UK headquartered multiline insurance group Phoenix Group Holdings Plc actually saw negative expenses of almost ten billion U.S. dollars due to a change in investment contract liabilities. As well as the French insurance giant Axa having the highest value of expenses they also saw the highest income through sales in 2018.
