According to a survey on bicycle usage conducted in August 2019, only 14 percent of respondents in Japan perceived the brand name as an important purchasing factor for bicycles.
Popular bicycle brands in Japan include Miyata, Bridgestone, Anchor and Fuji Bikes, the latter was established in Japan but later acquired by the American manufacturer Advanced Sports International.
