According to the source, "a 24-hour licence refers to premises that are licensed for the sale or supply of alcohol 24 hours per day (but may not operate 24 hours per day)".

* The majority of hotel bars with a license (30 percent) were open 24 hours to residents and their guests only. The rest (6.6 percent) were open to residents and the general pubilc. Around two percent did not report which type they were.
