Over the period from 2008 to 2018, public spending on upper secondary education per student in Finland fluctuated. Expenditure on general upper secondary school education increased from 5,153 euros in 2008 to 6,113 euros per student in 2018. Meanwhile, expenditure on vocational school education increased until 2013, reaching 8,720 euros per student, but declined thereafter to 7,275 euros per student in 2018.
