Preferred payment methods on Jumia in Nigeria 2017

In 2017, 67 percent of Jumia shoppers in Nigeria preferred to pay by cash-on-delivery. To make payments on delivery, customers use the pay account of the marketplace and pay via sms or QRcode. Moreover, some 23 percent of online shoppers used credit and debit cards.
In 2019, Jumia was by far the most popular online marketplace for physical goods in Nigeria. Other common marketplaces were Jiji, Konga, and Cheki.
