Share of employees in remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Angola 2020

In July 2020, roughly 52 percent of small and medium-sized enterprises in Angola had employees working from home due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The disease outbreak changed the ways of work in the whole world. Angolan businesses also followed the trend, in an attempt to safeguard employees and keep operations during the restrictions imposed by the virus. Around 14 percent of enterprises in Angola had more than 50 percent of employees under remote work in the period. As of October 2020, more than six thousand cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country.
