Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted the authorities to encourage the development of telework within companies in France. However, it seems that telecommuting tends to penalize women more: compared to men, they were almost 1.3 times less likely to have an isolated space, that is to say 62 percent compared to 71 percent for men.
