Share of companies collecting personal data 2021, by data subject region
A 2021 poll conducted among privacy experts worldwide showed that 71 percent of companies collected personal data of subjects living in the EU, while 59 percent of firms did the same for individuals living in Canada. A further 43 percent of survey respondents stated that their companies collected personal data from identifiable subjects in the United Kingdom.
