Monthly number of cancelled or postponed domestic trips in Finland due to COVID-19
From April to December 2020, nearly one million domestic trips with paid accommodation in Finland were cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. During the first two months of 2020, leisure travel of Finnish residents stayed at the same level as in the previous year, but the situation changed dramatically during March. Due to the COVID-19 related restrictions, 350 thousand domestic trips were cancelled in April. The number of cancelled or postponed inbound trips declined significantly in the months that followed.
