Global smart grid investment share 2014-2019

The share of total grid investments spent on digital technologies such as advanced metering has increased worldwide. In 2019, 17 percent of total expenditure went towards smart grid infrastructure. This was despite a decline in overall smart grid investment, which fell to 271 billion U.S. dollars that same year.
