Area of land burned by forest fires in Tunisia 2010-2020
In 2020, the total land area burned by forest fires in Tunisia corresponded to 2,278 hectares. From 2010 onwards, the forest area affected by wildfires in the country did not exceed 4,700 hectares, with the sole exception of 2017. In that year, fires burned a total forest area of over 17,000 hectares, a peak in the period under review.
