E-waste generation per capita in Europe 2019, by country
Norway generated the most electronic waste per capita in Europe in 2019, at approximately 26 kilograms per inhabitant. This was closely followed by the United Kingdom, where roughly 24 kilograms was generated per capita. In total, Norway's e-waste generation totaled 139,000 metric tons this year, with Russia producing the most at 1.6 million metric tons. Europe produced approximately 12 million metric tons of e-waste in 2019, making it the third largest producer of electronic waste behind Asia and the Americas.
