African countries hosting the most refugees 2022

Uganda hosted the largest number of refugees in Africa as of 2022: Nearly 1.5 million. Sudan followed, providing asylum to just under 1.1 million individuals, while Ethiopia hosted around 880,000 refugees. In general, the East and Horn of Africa were host to most of the refugees in the continent.
