Loans signed by Ghana's government for the education sector development 2020
In the financial year 2020, the government of Ghana signed loans to carry out projects in the education sector. The largest commitment (nearly 157 million U.S. dollars) was intended for the establishment of the State-of-the-Art Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centers (Facility A), credited by the ING Bank in Hong Kong. Moreover, the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project led to the signing of a loan in the value of around 148.3 million U.S. dollars, provided by the World Bank. Furthermore, educational development loans towards the supply and installation of Integrated e-learning laboratories in Senior High Schools reached an amount of 14.5 million U.S. dollars. The latter was altogether credited by KBC Bank and Belgium Government (State to State loan).
